# Cuttlefish

Cuttlefish is a desktop AI work environment that puts agents to work across the systems people and organizations already use. Home coordinates independent Companions, Desktop Presence begins from the work at hand, Living Surfaces make results interactive, Reusable Apps retain useful applications, and Working Groups and Stage bring people and agents into the same work.

## The live public website

https://getcuttlefish.app/ includes a live Cuttlefish Home agent. In a JavaScript-capable browser, the opening presentation leads to the Home workspace and its Quick Input bar. Visitors can enter a question about Cuttlefish, ask Home to open a public page, or explore the bounded website demonstrations. The opening presentation is not the end of the site. Home and independent Companions can perform the website's permitted work and present interactive results there.

The public website has a bounded guest workspace. It does not grant access to a visitor's desktop, private organization, files, credentials or connected business systems. The installed product and its authorized connections have a separate scope. The technical pages explain that boundary. A text-only reader can read the published pages directly; it cannot exercise the interactive agent merely by fetching the homepage. Direct page URLs below do not require completing the homepage presentation.

## Model processing and saved work
Cuttlefish supports approved cloud, on-device and organization-managed model connections. On-device model inference takes place on the device. Cuttlefish hosted services are used for account history, saved conversations, memories, settings and certain work records, including conversation history for on-device models. The Privacy Policy describes data processing, retention and erasure.
