How Cuttlefish owns and carries out work.
Start with the operating structure
Cuttlefish brings models, authorized tools and durable work into one operating environment. Home coordinates the objective. Companions take independent responsibilities. Living Surfaces, Apps and Working Groups make the resulting work available to inspect, use and continue. An agent proposing an action and a system permitting that action are separate decisions.
These technical references explain the product’s operating relationships and limits. They describe what owns a responsibility, how work passes between participants, and what an outcome does and does not establish. They do not publish private deployment layouts, enforcement protocols or customer configuration.

Coordination and independent execution
Start with Architecture to follow an objective from Home through independent work and back to a usable result. The Companion reference distinguishes an agent’s identity, assigned model, permitted context and work from the window that presents it. A Composite Companion coordinates cooperating members without erasing those boundaries.
Parallel work needs more than several conversations. Responsibilities, addressed communication, useful results and unresolved dependencies must remain attributable. Home supervises the overall objective while each participant operates within its own scope.
Authority that stays with the action
The Governance reference explains allowed, approval-required and prohibited operations. Existing authorization can permit work without asking the person again. An action requiring a decision must wait for the required review. A prohibited action stays prohibited even if an agent considers it useful.
Enterprise boundaries connect these decisions to organizational policy, identity, connected accounts and evaluation. Trust, Security, Privacy and contractual documents remain the authoritative places for their respective commitments. A technical explanation does not expand the terms of a service or a customer’s permissions.
Work people can use
Living Surfaces expose useful information and controls around an objective. Saving a useful result as an App makes it available for subsequent work within the permissions and connections then available. Working Groups bring participants and materials together around shared work; Stage presents selected material without making every participant its owner.
The continuity reference separates an agent’s retained work, the view currently open, a saved artifact and a confirmed external result. Closing a view is not a request to cancel its agent. Equally, a visible result is not proof that an external change succeeded.
Connections and model choice
The Environment Runtime reference covers approved systems, browser work, Desktop Presence and Quick Input. A connected system provides possible operations; it does not grant every agent access to every operation. Context and authority remain associated with the person, organization and task.
The model-independence reference explains how an organization supplies and assigns permitted model connections. Work identity belongs to Cuttlefish’s agent, not to a particular model response. Provider changes do not excuse silently substituting an unapproved model or representing an unavailable provider as successful.
Read the website and the installed product accurately
This website is a working public Home environment with bounded example information and facts you provide. Its Companions and surfaces can carry out work within those available capabilities. Juniper Coffee is fictional. Website Working Groups do not invite external people, and website Home cannot read your private files, desktop or signed-in applications.
Installed Cuttlefish adds native and organization-authorized facilities. Availability depends on the selected release, platform, permissions and configured connections. Use the current Downloads and releases page for the actual published packages; a download is neither installation nor permission to access your computer.
